Basic Function

·         Support reinsurance deliverables with various reinsurance counterparties

·         Analysis of financial results on a quarterly basis to support reinsurance reporting

·         Analyze trends and variances within the various lines of the income statements and balance sheets while ensuring financial statements are well controlled, timely and accurate

·         Work closely with onshore counterparts to ensure accurate journal entries are recorded for reinsurance activities

·         Support the financial reporting for Parent entity Consolidated reporting, standalone US GAAP and, statutory financials

·         Support any potential future reinsurance transactions that onshore may decide to pursue

·         Ensure end to end operations management for Financial reporting, disclosures, Surveys etc.

·         Partnering in setting the team’s strategic direction and assisting in the overall running of the team’s operations

·         Ownership of processes, reports, procedures or products. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processes

·         Support quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as well as, independent external auditors

·         Participate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests

·         Understand & anticipate clients’ business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the same

·         Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controls

·         Ensure adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

·         Excellent project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills

·         Established work experience in financial management roles with heavy data-focus

·         Ability to adeptly summarize detailed & complex financial information for senior audiences.

Desired Skill Sets, Work Experience & Other Requirements

·         CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance with 10+ years of experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting (GAAP & STAT)

·         Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines under challenging time frames

·         Strong collaborative, communication and partnering skills Capable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelines

·         Effectively balance quality, timeliness and productivity standards

·         Identify and implement enhancements and efficiencies

·         Experience with financial reporting applications (Oracle)

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with several stakeholders
