highly motivated Mechanical Designer to join our Project Delivery Group
(PDG) in Gurgaon/ Gurugram – Delhi NCR.
As a successful candidate, you will:

Develop high-quality 3D models, layouts, and detailed mechanical design
drawings for industrial plants in accordance with project
specifications, applicable codes, and Hatch standards under the guidance
of the Lead Mechanical Engineer.

Understand the owner/user requirements and the project objectives.
-
Interpret the plant PFDs, P&IDs, and plant battery limits and
constraints.

Having experience in preparing, storing & delivering drawings using
digital document control platform.

Develop and maintain intelligent 3D plant models including equipment,
maintenance access requirements, and associated mechanical interfaces.

Generate General Arrangement (GA), installation, detail, and fabrication
drawings from approved 3D models.

Prepare conceptual, preliminary and detailed plant layouts while
ensuring compliance with project requirements through rigorous
self-checking and quality reviews.
- Develop design details of standard design elements.

Perform the design and drafting of mechanical plant models using
applicable standards, project technical specifications and enterprise or
project procedures.

Be responsible for executing designs following the mechanical and layout
design criteria developed.

Use vendor data, drawings and information to develop and verify the
model.

Create and maintain check sheets for all equipment as vendor data is
received. Update model with all changes as required.

Coordinate with Process, Piping, Structural, Electrical and
Instrumentation disciplines to resolve model interfaces and clashes.

Provide material quantity takeoffs for estimating purposes or inclusion
into bulk commodity purchases and installation contracts.

Participate in operability, maintainability and constructability
reviews. Familiarity with HAZOP and safety-in-design workshops would be
advantageous.

Utilize digital engineering tools and model-based design practices to
enhance project delivery quality and efficiency.
You bring to the role:
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
-
5–15 years of experience in mechanical plant design and 3D modeling
within EPC/EPCM projects.
-
Proficiency in Bentley OpenPlant Designer preferred; experience with
S3D, E3D, PDMS, Plant 3D or equivalent platforms desirable.

Strong understanding of mechanical equipment layouts, access
requirements, maintenance philosophy and plant design principles.

Experience in multidisciplinary industrial projects including mining,
metals, power, oil & gas or process industries.

Working knowledge of applicable international codes, standards and
engineering practices.

Experience performing model reviews, clash detection and
interdisciplinary coordination.

Familiarity with digital document management systems and engineering
collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in global workshare environments.

Strong communication (in English), problem-solving and interpersonal
skills.

For Senior Designer roles, experience leading small teams and mentoring
junior designers is desirable.
