Role & Responsibilities Overview: 

• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, data teams, technology teams and client SMEs to understand business priorities and translate them into well-defined requirements for data and analytics initiatives. 

• Drive end-to-end requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, process walkthroughs, document analysis and data discovery sessions. 

• Create and maintain business requirement documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mapping documents and reporting/dashboard requirement artifacts. 

• Support implementation of data, reporting, BI and advanced analytics solutions by working closely with data engineers, analysts, visualization developers, QA teams and solution architects. 

• Analyze source systems, business processes, data definitions, KPIs and reporting logic to ensure business needs are accurately reflected in the solution design. 

• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, requirement clarification, solution walkthroughs and sign-off discussions in an agile delivery environment. 

• Coordinate user acceptance testing by defining test scenarios, validating outputs, tracking defects and ensuring timely resolution with technical teams. 

• Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication, traceability of requirements and alignment of deliverables with business objectives.

• Track dependencies, risks, assumptions and change requests throughout the project lifecycle and proactively support issue resolution. 

• Prepare status updates, requirement traceability matrices, meeting notes, implementation readiness checklists and other project documentation as required. 

• Support post-implementation adoption by assisting with user training, knowledge transfer, operating procedures and business validation of deployed analytics solutions.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders professionally and manage differing viewpoints constructively.

Candidate Profile: 

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in business administration, economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, information systems, statistics, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates from top-tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply. 

• 3.5 to 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst or Analytics Consultant supporting data, reporting, BI, analytics or technology transformation initiatives. 

• Strong experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, business process analysis, user story creation, acceptance criteria definition and functional documentation. 

• Good understanding of data and analytics concepts including KPIs, dashboards, data models, data quality, source-to-target mapping, reporting logic and business metric definitions. 

• Hands-on experience working with SQL for data analysis, validation or querying is preferred; familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar platforms will be an advantage. 

• Experience supporting implementation of analytics solutions across the delivery lifecycle, including discovery, design, build support, testing, deployment and post-production validation. 

• Ability to work with data engineers, visualization developers, QA teams and architects to clarify requirements, validate business rules and ensure solution alignment with business needs. 

• Experience creating functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, data mapping documents, test scenarios, UAT plans and requirement traceability matrices. 

• Working knowledge of agile delivery practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or Confluence is preferred. 

• Domain experience in insurance, banking, financial services, healthcare or other data-intensive industries will be an added advantage. • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and attention to detail, with the ability to convert ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable requirements. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across business and technology teams. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with clients and teams across geographies.
