Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineering Manager – Electrical with strong experience in Substation Design and Engineering . The candidate will be responsible for leading the overall electrical engineering function for HV/EHV substation projects, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering packages in line with client and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering and design activities for HV/EHV Substation projects.
• Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables, calculations, drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinate with Primary, Secondary/Protection & Control, Civil, SCADA and other engineering disciplines .
• Ensure design compliance with project specifications, applicable IEC standards and client/utility requirements.
• Review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), equipment layouts, electrical schematics, cable schedules and technical specifications .
• Coordinate with vendors for technical submittals, equipment data sheets and drawing approvals.
• Manage technical interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
• Lead design reviews, technical meetings and coordination with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Monitor engineering progress, deliverables and project milestones.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts and engineering risks.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering .
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Power Transmission & Distribution / Substation projects.
• Substation Design & Engineering experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience in HV/EHV Substation projects .
• Experience in GIS and/or AIS Substation Design .
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary substation systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design standards, specifications and engineering practices.
• Experience with large-scale EPC/utility projects .
• Saudi Arabia / GCC experience will be preferred.
