US Statutory Reporting

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support US statutory reporting for insurance operations. The role involves preparation, analysis, and submission of regulatory reports in compliance with National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) guidelines and other statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities 
Prepare, review, and analyze US statutory schedules and exhibits in accordance with NAIC guidelines. 
Perform roll forwards, reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensure accurate General Ledger (GL) tie-outs. 
Support quarterly and annual statutory close processes, including: 
Journal entries preparation and posting 
Controls validation and documentation 
Ensuring adherence to regulatory filing timelines 
Assist in preparation and filing of statutory reports, including: 
Insurance Services Office (ISO) reports 
Surplus and other statistical filings 
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
Support audits and examinations conducted by: 
NAIC 
Domiciliary regulators 
State regulators and other governing bodies 
Maintain documentation and support audit requests with accurate and timely data. 
Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives where applicable. 
Qualifications & Skills 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA / CPA / MBA preferred). 
Strong understanding of US Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP). 
Experience with NAIC statutory filings and insurance reporting frameworks. 
Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel (advanced level preferred). 
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills. 
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. 
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
Preferred Experience 
Prior experience in insurance companies, captive setups, or consulting firms handling US statutory reporting. 
Exposure to regulatory interactions and audit support. 
Familiarity with ISO/statistical reporting processes
