Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer with a strong background in
structural steel fabrication and welding quality control. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for ensuring that all fabricated steel components meet
project specifications, applicable codes, client requirements, and quality
standards. The role involves inspection, documentation, process monitoring,
and coordination with production, engineering, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control
(QA/QC) procedures for steel fabrication projects.

Review project specifications, fabrication drawings, welding procedures
(WPS), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and quality requirements.

Perform inspections of raw materials, fit-up, welding, dimensional accuracy,
painting/coating, and final fabricated assemblies.

Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as AWS, ASME, ISO 9001,
AISC, BS, EN, or client-specific requirements.

Monitor welding activities and verify compliance with approved Welding
Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

Coordinate and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including
UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT.

Verify welder qualifications and maintain welding qualification records.

Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports,
material traceability records, NCRs, CAPA, and quality dossiers.

Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and
preventive actions.

Coordinate with production, planning, engineering, procurement, and client
inspectors to resolve quality-related concerns.

Monitor calibration of measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Participate in internal audits, supplier inspections, and client quality
audits.

Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures while conducting
inspections.
