Detailed Inspection Plans - Defines the specific inspection and test steps for a given component, mapping out when and how specific features (dimensions, welds, surface finish) will be measured.
Acceptance Criteria - Translates high-level project specifications and blueprints into granular pass/fail criteria for shop-floor application.
Sampling Protocols - Defines the sampling frequency (e.g., batch sampling vs. 100% inspection) based on the criticality of the equipment and supplier performance history.
Reporting Formats - Establishes the structure for Field Inspection Reports and inspection release notes to ensure standardized documentation for the final data dossier.
b. Ensures (as a minimum):
Safety Compliance - Ensures that all onsite activities—including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)—are conducted in strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) obligations.
Physical Conformance - Ensures that all incoming materials, in-process fabrications, and finished goods exactly match the approved drawings and technical data sheets.
Process Adherence - Ensures the supplier’s manufacturing team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Air Liquide’s Quality System requirements during production.
Traceability - Ensures that raw materials (castings, forgings, valves), components & equipment are accompanied by valid material test certificates and are traceable to the specific heat or batch number.
Calibration - Ensures that all measurement and testing equipment (calipers, gauges, spectrometers) used during inspection are in current calibration and fit for use.
Corrective action Implementation - Ensures that Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) are not just raised, but effectively closed through verified root cause analysis and rework verification.
Eliminate / Control the Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ)
Control activities must be executed as per the project budget.
