Job Summary

Towell Engineering is looking for an experienced Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee the company's accounting, financial management, reporting, taxation, budgeting, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in financial planning, accounting operations, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, cash flow management, audits, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, effective financial controls, timely reporting, and overall financial discipline across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Manage cash flow, working capital, fund requirements, and day-to-day treasury activities.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and variance analysis.
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and provide management with insights on deviations and corrective actions.
Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, statutory payments, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external stakeholders.
Monitor project/job-wise costing, profitability, expenses, and financial performance wherever applicable.
Review purchase, sales, expense, and payment documentation to ensure accuracy and appropriate approvals.
Develop and present MIS reports covering revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, receivables, payables, and other key financial metrics.
Support management in financial decision-making, cost optimization, and business plans.
Lead and develop the accounts and finance team to ensure efficient and compliant financial operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CA/CA Inter/M.Com/MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification will be preferred.
14+years of experience in Accounts & Finance , preferably in Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Steel Fabrication, EPC, or Engineering industries.
Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, working capital, and audit processes.
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of GST, TDS, income tax, statutory compliance, and applicable accounting standards.
Experience in financial MIS, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and receivables/payables ageing.

Preferred Experience

Experience in Heavy Engineering, Steel Fabrication, Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, EPC, or Engineering industries .
Experience in handling complete finance and accounting functions of a manufacturing/engineering organization.
Exposure to project/job costing, inventory accounting, CAPEX, and working capital management.
Experience in managing statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Strong exposure to GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory/regulatory compliances.
Experience in ERP implementation, process improvement, and strengthening internal financial controls.
