JOB PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

Coordinating planning, design engineering and construction management activities of capital projects, process improvement projects and infrastructure projects at Site being integral resource of Site Engineering & Projects team.

Position will be directly responsible for Scheduling, Planning & Construction Supervision during project execution.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

·          Coordinating Engineering Design, Procurement & construction management for execution of Capital Projects, process improvement projects and infrastructure development projects.

 

·          Accountable for ensuring all engineering standards and project execution principles are being followed in project design engineering, construction and equipment selection.

 

·          Responsible for efficiently coordinating and getting delivery from design consultants, project contractors and material suppliers ensuring on time, in cost, safe execution of projects.

 

·          Coordinating essential statutory approvals for project execution and related compliances.

 

·          Directly supervising project planning and scheduling activities, engineering design progress, construction and commissioning activities on ground along with ensuring safety at all stages of project life cycle.

 

·          Working closely with Senior Manufacturing, Engineering & Technical team members on focused improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

 

·          Coordinating process safety & electrical safety aspect in project design and execution.

 

Key Capabilities

·          Reasonable Engineering & Maintenance knowledge related to process equipment used for Inks, Paints & Coatings, Varnish & Resin Manufacturing, such as Mixing & Dispersion, Grinding & Milling, Resin manufacturing reactors & kettles and must be   familiar with Hazardous Chemical Processes & Handling Hazardous Substances.

 

·          Expertise in Project Planning & Scheduling, Construction Management, Commissioning Coordination, Project Safety is must.

 

·          Good awareness Of Mechanical, Civil & Structure, E&I fundamentals for chemical process plants.

 

·          Must be hands on in Project management tools such as MS Projects / Auto Cad Drawings.

 

·          Must have good Understanding of   PFD & P&ID / Equipment data Sheets / Procurement processes / Technical & commercial bid evaluation and equipment vendors for process industry.

 

·          Good acquaintance to Process Safety Procedures, Risk Assessments, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL studies.

 

·          Expertise in Drafting Reports, technical Presentation, Project Proposals and Feasibility studies.

 

Expertise in Verbal and written Communication (English & Hindi), interpersonal skills.

 

Experience : 

Min 5 Years of experience in Execution of Projects related to Hazardous Chemical Process Plants & Associated infrastructure development projects.

Experience, ideally within a Hazardous chemical manufacturing environment with reputed MNC / Indian Companies, in field of Paints & Coatings, Ink Manufacturing, Speciality Chemicals., mainly in Project design and execution functions.

Experience of coordinating & supervising design consultants and construction team.

Competence in Project Planning & Scheduling tools / Auto Cad Software.

Understanding of HAZOP / SIL / LOPA related to process safety management in project design.

Strong communicator at all levels of the organisation, coupled with excellent presentation skills, collaborative working Skills in matrix team structure having multiple stakeholders.
