Job Summary

We are looking for a Process Design Engineer with experience in water and wastewater treatment systems to develop process designs, calculations, technical documents, and engineering deliverables for STP, ETP, WTP, RO, ZLD and other water-treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop process design and engineering for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Understand client requirements, water/wastewater characteristics, design criteria and applicable standards.
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) .
• Perform process calculations and equipment sizing for:
• Screening and grit removal
• Equalization and neutralization
• Clarifiers and settling systems
• Biological treatment — ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR, etc.
• Tertiary treatment and filtration
• RO/NF systems
• Sludge treatment and dewatering
• UF, DM/softening and ZLD systems, where applicable
• Prepare mass balance, water balance and chemical balance .
• Size tanks, pumps, blowers, mixers, filters, clarifiers, membranes and other process equipment.
• Prepare equipment datasheets and technical specifications .
• Develop process narratives, design basis reports and operating philosophies.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment process design .
• Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies.
• Strong knowledge of process calculations and equipment sizing.
• Ability to read and develop PFDs and P&IDs .
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD ; knowledge of hydraulic/process simulation software is an advantage.
