Director – HR Operations – DataVolt

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Director of HR Operations to serve as a senior strategic and operational leader within our People & Culture team. Reporting to the VP of People & Culture, this role will act as a key driver of HR transformation, governance, and delivery across DataVolt’s global footprint.
You will be responsible for shaping scalable people practices and executing complex change initiatives in support of DataVolt’s ambitious growth agenda. This role requires a proactive, systems-oriented HR leader who can operate comfortably at the intersection of strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement a people strategy aligned with DataVolt’s organizational vision, supporting growth and transformation across regions.
· Lead HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring excellence in onboarding, performance management, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
· Act as the operational right-hand to the VP, with visibility into executive-level strategy, change initiatives, and organizational design.
· Drive alignment across business functions by translating strategy into workforce capability needs and scalable HR programs.
· Establish governance and standardization across HR policies, practices, and data, ensuring compliance and consistency across regions while remaining adaptable to local nuances.
· Translate business strategy into talent implications and ensuring People & Culture is positioned as a business enabler.
· Serve as executive escalation point for sensitive or high-impact people matters, offering practical solutions, risk management, and strategic insight.
· Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, ensuring HR systems, processes, and delivery models are efficient.
· Collaborate with business unit leaders globally to ensure alignment of HR solutions with commercial objectives, regional talent strategies, and business outcomes
Key Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum Education: MBA or Master’s degree from a top-tier institution (e.g., XLRI, SIBM, IIMs strongly preferred).
Experience:
o 18–20 years of progressive HR experience, including significant strategic and operational leadership across geographies.
o Proven success leading HR in complex, fast-scaling, international environments with distributed teams and multicultural dynamics.
o Experience in HR transformation, process redesign, technology implementation (e.g., HRIS, talent systems), and large-scale change initiatives.
o Strong operational expertise, with a hands-on approach to optimizing HR delivery, governance, and execution.
o Experience leading other HR leaders (Directors, Senior Managers) and building strong, empowered HR teams.
o Ability to operate as both a strategic thinker and a detail-oriented executor — with strong influencing skills at executive level.
