Purpose: Formulate and execute service publication material on standard service procedures of HMCL products as an after-sales service support for HMCL service staff and network workshops to ensure quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan the development of service publications for new models in line with the production plan

· Gathering technical information and coordinating for the new model line up to track the Production dates and product readiness.

· Identifying the need for Technical publications (Owner’s manuals, Shop Manuals, Training Handbooks, Technical Charts, Videos)

· Creating publication development plan (Gantt Charts) to drive various activities and adhere to the timelines with respect to the production plan

Establish the service procedure of the product to identify the critical areas and technology

· Studying PLM drawings and specifications for publication creation and clarify technical queries from CIT

· Dismantling and assembling of the entire product to understand the technology and standardise the service procedure with special service tools

· Doing the benchmarking of the product portfolio publications with the competition publications.

· Concept creation/Designing the layouts of manuals for better understanding of technology for customers and Network staff

Manage the publication development activities to ensure the availability of the publication Material as per the start of production

· Allocate the jobs for the artwork (Photo editing, Illustration development, Drafting the contents into the layouts)

· Proofreading the publications (Corrections, Technical updates, Grammar check)

· Validating the newly developed publication materials for specification, content, standard operating procedures

· Final editing post CIT suggestions and get the cover page design from Branding team, assigning the publication numbers.

· Checking the Blue print or Ferro copies to ensure the final print is as per the publication standards.

· Managing the publication activities for Global Business in addition to Domestic models

Ensure the Printing of training material, publication material availability, videos at all stakeholders to align with the new model launch

· Ensure the availability of the Owner’s manual at Outbound logistics

· Uploading of Shop Manuals

· Ensure the Development and Printing of training material for the learning centre

· Making of videos for learning centres and DIY videos for customer’s understanding based on requirements

· Translation of Owner’s Manual in regional languages

· Innovation & new technologies to be incorporated in Publications

· Taking initiatives for Digitization of Publications

Education: Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with Book publishing knowledge is an added advantage

Technical Skills / Knowledge : Product Technical Knowledge, Technical writing skills, Technical Authoring and Content Development, Project Management, Publication software knowledge (Photoshop, Corel Draw, Adobe Frame maker, Adobe illustrator, Arbot Text, 3D Via Composer, Catia)
