The Manager - Area Sales Operations will oversee Area office supply chain efficiency, inventory health, and dealer service delivery. This role is responsible for driving financial dispatch targets, streamlining spare parts operations, maintaining healthy dealer-network inventory metrics, and ensuring high-quality customer fulfillment metrics (VOR and Service Ratios). The ideal candidate acts as the strategic operational anchor between HMCL operations framework and the dealer network.
Key Responsibilities & Performance Metrics (KRAs)
1. Financial & Dispatch Management
· Target Achievement: Ensure 100% execution of dispatch plans across all major segments , Parts, Lubricants, Accessories.
· Allied Business Growth: Direct operations to fulfill dispatch plans specifically tailored for Allied Business growth sectors.
· Revenue Anchor: Align daily network allocations with corporate financial targets to prevent revenue leakage or transit delays.
2. Process Optimization & Inventory Control
· Parts Availability: Maintain optimal Daily Average Spare Parts Availability levels across designated super stockiest.
· Inventory Rationalization at channel partners: Execute the Stock Buy-Back to free up working capital across Dealers, Authorized Distributors (AD), and Authorized Service Centers (ASC).
· Pull-Based Ordering: Oversee the deployment and continuous monitoring of Pull-Based Ordering (PBO) mechanics at PD/SS levels, enforcing strict metric measure adherence to the PBO SOQ (Suggested Order Quantity) Value.
3. Customer Satisfaction & Network Fulfillment
· Service Ratio: Drive and optimize the ANC Service Ratio (SR) and HGPD Service Ratio, taking full accountability for un generated Sales Orders (SO).
· Fulfillment Consistency: Track and implement standard operating procedures to guarantee regional Service Ratio Consistency.
· Stock Collaboration: Establish strong Stock Collaboration protocols with network partners to handle demand forecasting imbalances smoothly.
4. Vehicle-Off-Road (VOR) & Emergency Supply Management
· Stock Optimization: Lower urgent dependence on corporate orders by expanding the Quantum of VOR Orderliness Served directly from local/regional Stock.
· Safety Adherence: Audit and mandate strict VOR Safety Stock Adherence norms across all super stockiest.
· Quantum VOR Reduction: Implement process checks to reduce overall VOR frequencies, specifically managing the VOR Orders Per lac of ANC Business
5. Business Excellence
· Infrastructure & Adaptability: Manage physical and system capabilities via comprehensive Facility & Change Management protocols during process transitions
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications & Experience
· , Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
· Experience: 5 to 8 years of core experience in Sales Operations, Network Spares Management, or Supply Chain Logistics—ideally within the Automotive, Auto-Component, or Consumer Durable industries
Technical & Functional Competencies
· Deep expertise in Inventory Management Models (such as Pull-Based systems, Safety Stock calculations, and Min-Max planning).
· Strong familiarity with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or proprietary DMS/WMS modules).
· Analytical capability to process large-scale inventory datasets, tracking KPIs like Order Fill Rates and Days of Inventory (DOI).
Behavioral Skills
· Strong stakeholder coordination skills to balance relationships between cross fuctional dept., HMCL and field dealers/distributors.
· Exceptional crisis-management and problem-solving capability (specifically tailored to immediate fulfillment metrics like VOR).
· Strategic mindset to drive large-scale process and structural changes smoothly across independent networks
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech / Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field. MBA Preferred.
