Responsibility
- Shall be responsible for Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Procurement
related to solar & wind projects. Products/Equipment’s related to
electrical & mechanical items
- Shall be responsible for maintaining healthy relationships with internal O
& M, Engineering, Projects team members and other key stakeholders
/Service providers identified for solar and wind energy development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Floating of Inquires/ RfQ, follow-ups, techno-commercial evaluation,
organize pre-bid conferences and lead negotiations as per defined SCM process
and timelines. Placement of PO & Post PO co-ordinations
2. Lead on O & M Procurement for all electrical & mechanical items and
manage complete procure to pay cycle for the same.
3. Support on identifying, selecting, and qualifying of O & M contractors,
payment terms, cost roadmap, cycle time reduction, EHS, quality, capacity
planning of the region’s longterm demand.
4. Should have basic technical knowledge of electrical. mechanical and civil
engineering items
5. Maintain close relationships with multiple EPC partners to negotiate and
execute contracts within project budget, ensure proper documentation and order
confirmations.
6. Managing contracts within budgeted cost.
7. Should possess strong communication skills and maintain timely escalation
processes to minimize conflicts and disputes.
8. Communicate the Weekly/Daily MIS & results related to O&M
orders/issues to all team members and management in a clear, concise manner.
9. Understand and uphold internal and external polices, regulations and laws
Technical/Analytical:
1. Strong category / O & M related procurement experience with advanced
negotiation skills
2. Good Knowledge of contractual and legal terms and conditions utilized in
the industry
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; in particular data analysis using Excel
and Power point.
4. Experience with using an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP or Timberline for
sourcing materials.
5. Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
6. Hands-on experience in Solar PV/Wind Energy products and EPC contract
management Competencies required
Desired experience and expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with major preferably in Mechanical &
Electrical.
• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience with Solar & Wind IPPs &
EPCs.
