Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer (Automotive)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between
conceptual design and physical manufacturing, possessing deep expertise in
both 2D and 3D CAD environments specifically within the automotive sector.You
will be responsible for creating production-ready designs, ensuring every
drawing is optimized for various machining processes and high-precision laser
cutting.
Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive CAD Design:
Develop complex 3D models and detailed 2D technical drawings for
automotive components and assemblies.

Manufacturing Integration:
Prepare and provide direct-to-manufacture drawings specifically
formatted for
Laser Cutting, bending
and various
CNC machining processes
.

Precision Engineering:
DFM; DFA; GD&T ; FEA

Material Selection:
Utilize knowledge of
material technology
to select appropriate metals, polymers, or composites based on stress,
weight, and thermal requirements.

Surface Modeling:
(Advantageous) Execute surface modeling tasks for aesthetic or
aerodynamic automotive components.

Automotive structural Design & Sheet Metal Design
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in
Mechanical Engineering
(Required).

Experience:
Minimum of
4 years of professional experience
using
ProE; CATIA / SolidWorks
etc., in an automotive environment.

Technical Proficiency:
* Expertise in 2D drafting and 3D parametric modeling.

Deep understanding of machining workflows (Milling, Turning, Grinding).

Proven ability to generate "clean" files for laser/plasma/waterjet
cutting.

Standards Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of industry-standard dimensioning and
tolerancing.

Materials Expertise:
Strong grasp of material properties, heat treatments, and
manufacturing constraints.
Preferred Attributes

Experience with advanced
Surface Modeling
(Class A surfacing or complex lofts).

Familiarity with automotive regulatory standards and safety requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills with a "design for manufacturing" (DFM)
mindset.
