Manager Testing – Job Description

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive Test Execution Plans, test cases, and scenarios derived from Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
• Develop detailed test scenarios and acceptance criteria for all new developments, ensuring alignment with business value and technical design.
• Maintain and update the centralized test case repository for all live applications, ensuring robust regression testing cycles at regular intervals.
• Prepare detailed test reports and quality metrics, securing formal signoffs from relevant business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for test automation, defining the automation strategy and overseeing the setup and maintenance of the automation suite.
• Manage work allocation for the testing team, tracking progress to ensure on-time delivery while providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the entire software development life cycle.

Role Requirements

• Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies, with the ability to lead the transition toward automation.
• Clear understanding and practical experience in performing functional, user experience (UX), security, load/performance, and regression testing.
• Proven ability to design and evolve a comprehensive Test Strategy tailored to the company’s business needs and technical landscape.
• Strong domain knowledge of the financial sector, preferably within the Indian retail lending market.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a strong academic record from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 college.
• 8–9 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a lead or managerial capacity.
