Role Summary
CAMP India is a core engineering and data hub. We are hiring a hands-on
senior IT leader who owns outcomes from day one. Set the operating
model, raise governance and reliability, and personally drive early
execution while aligning with global standards and partnering with
enterprise security and infrastructure leaders. The role blends strategy
and execution to create a durable, audit-ready, and cost-efficient
foundation.
Tool equivalency:
Examples are illustrative. Equivalent platforms are welcome.
What You Will Do
· Define India IT architecture and standards for identity, endpoints, networks, and core services, aligned to global policy.
· Establish access and identity guardrails that are simple to operate: strong authentication, least privilege, routine reviews with evidence.
· Ensure endpoint posture so only healthy, managed devices reach sensitive systems; maintain hardening baselines and respond to posture drift.
· Evolve connectivity toward segmented, fault-tolerant networks; reduce external exposure and retire legacy paths.
· Land meaningful observability: ingest priority logs, automate actionable alerts, lead incidents with clear command, and drive durable fixes.
· Make end of life a planned activity: maintain accurate inventory, refresh on a calendar, consolidate systems that do not earn their keep.
· Treat continuity and recovery as practiced capabilities: protect backups, validate restores, keep runbooks current and tested.
· Minimize sensitive data where not needed; separate duties; manage privileged and service accounts with rotation and oversight.
· Run disciplined change: visible, reviewed, reversible, and communicated early with global counterparts.
· Build a small, high-leverage team; hold vendors to outcomes with SLAs and reviews; publish a quarterly scorecard on reliability, risk, and roadmap progress.
·
Sequence near-term execution with long-term modernization. Recommend a
targeted additional hire if specialized gaps remain.
Technical Skills – Must Have
· Identity and access management, MFA/SSO, directory services.
· Endpoint management and EDR/MDM at scale across Windows and macOS.
· Enterprise network and security architecture, segmentation, secure remote access.
· Logging, monitoring, and alerting design with clear runbooks and response workflows.
· Backup, recovery, and continuity design with immutable storage and periodic restore tests.
·
Change, configuration, and asset management fundamentals with
audit-ready evidence.
Technical Skills – Good to Have
· Cloud and SaaS admin patterns for productivity, collaboration, and data platforms.
· Vulnerability and patch management orchestration.
· Experience standing up risk dashboards and service metrics.
·
Certifications: ITIL v4, CISSP or CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or
Lead Auditor.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
· 10 to 15 years in enterprise or SaaS IT with recent India leadership responsibility and hands-on delivery.
· Proven ability to implement control frameworks and pass audits without slowing the business.
· Vendor and budget ownership with outcome-based governance and clear metrics.\
· Strong communication with executives and engineers; transparent decision logs and status updates.
·
Comfortable leading on-call and serving as incident commander when
needed.
Outcomes & Metrics
· Reliability: improve MTTR and MTTD, raise SLO attainment, reduce critical incidents.
· Security: reduce time to remediate, increase posture coverage, lower privileged access surface.
· Delivery: shorten lead time for approved changes, maintain low change failure rate.
· Audit readiness: complete control evidence on schedule, zero repeat findings.
·
Cost and efficiency: lower total cost of ownership through consolidation
and predictable refresh.
How We Work
· Operating cadence: plan → build → test → release, with defined change windows. Pre-implementation reviews, verification in production, and documented rollback steps are standard procedure.
· Change control: every infrastructure change is logged, peer-reviewed, and approved; emergency changes follow an expedited but documented path.
· Standards and paved roads: pre-approved patterns for identity, endpoint, network, and logging reduce friction and raise the floor on security and reliability.
· Tool equivalency: capabilities and outcomes matter more than specific vendors or products.
· Communication: clear maintenance windows, stakeholder notifications, and post-change status updates; no surprises.
· Incident discipline: defined on-call rotation, incident command, and post-incident reviews that lead to durable fixes.
· Culture: outcome focused, ownership driven, proactive communication, evidence-based decisions.
