Head of Product @ SARAL
Overview
SARAL is entering its most consequential product phase.
We are evolving from an infl uencer management SaaS into the performance
marketing infrastructure for infl uencer-led growth. Over the next 12–18
months, we are building three interconnected products:
● SATHI for Affi liate attribution
● PULSE for Social listening + top-of-funnel measurement
● Measurement Engine for Unifi ed ROI and performance layer
This role exists to own the operating layer of product while the CEO focuses
on long-term vision.
This is not a conventional “Head of Product” title layered onto a PM role.
This is a high-agency leadership role requiring strong product judgment,
design taste, market awareness, and execution under ambiguity.
What You’ll Own
1. Customer Intelligence
● Lead all customer interviews, user research, and beta conversations
● Build deep relationships with key accounts
● Develop an intuitive understanding of customer needs and pain points
● Review customer calls and analyze churn to inform decisions
2. Roadmap & Prioritization
● Own the product roadmap across all product lines
● Prioritize ruthlessly and make clear trade-offs
● Lead sprint planning and work closely with engineering on execution
● Balance speed, scope, and quality in day-to-day decisions
3. Product Ownership (Initial Focus: PULSE)
● Own one product end-to-end (starting with PULSE)
● Drive specs, design collaboration, and engineering execution
● Guide direction on other products while delegating execution where
appropriate
4. Shipping & Execution
● Own shipping velocity and product quality
● Ensure tight alignment across specs → design → development
● Build and maintain a reliable product metrics system (activation, retention,
usage)
5. Market & Competitive Intelligence
● Stay deeply embedded in the DTC, Shopify, and affi liate ecosystem
● Track competitors and industry trends proactively
● Bring external context into internal product decisions
6. Design Quality & Product Taste
● Own the quality bar across UX, copy, and visual design
● Review and approve designs before development begins
● Establish and maintain a clear standard of product excellence
7. Team Leadership
● Manage and develop product and design team members
● Work closely with engineering leadership as a peer
● Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and raise the quality bar
What You Won’t Own
The CEO retains:
● Long-term product vision (2+ years)
● Pricing and packaging decisions
● Brand and positioning
● Final decisions on high-risk strategic bets
How You’ll Work with the CEO
● Weekly 1:1: Roadmap, blockers, alignment
● Monthly review: Metrics, customer insights, progress
● Quarterly planning: Direction set by CEO, execution owned by you
You own the “how”. The CEO owns the “what” (at the highest level).
Non-Negotiables
● Customer obsession: Regular conversations and deep user understanding
● Ownership of timelines: Ship on time or communicate early
● High design standards: Nothing ships below the bar
● Market awareness: Stay informed and proactive
● Decision-making: Bring decisions, not just options
● Team leadership: Actively develop your team
● Metrics discipline: Build and rely on accurate product data
90-Day Success Plan

● Understand all products, roadmap, and workfl ows
● Meet key customers and internal stakeholders
● Audit current product processes and systems

Month 3: Leading
