Job Posting Title: IT Procurement Manager
Job Description Summary
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented IT Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of technology products and services. This role is responsible for optimizing vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective procurement, and aligning IT purchases with business goals. The position will work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Legal teams to support enterprise-wide technology initiatives and will operate during US Eastern Time (ET) hours.
Job Description
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for hardware, software, cloud services, and IT consulting
- Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure compliance and budget alignment
- Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to inform purchasing decisions
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance
- Lead RFP/RFI processes and evaluate vendor proposals
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in IT procurement or strategic sourcing
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Familiarity with IT products, licensing models, and vendor ecosystems
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus
- Willingness to work US Eastern Time (ET) hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity solutions
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
