Immediate requirement – candidates who can join within 1–2 months preferred.
Purpose of the Role
The role will be responsible for supporting indirect and direct tax compliance activities, tax reconciliations, audits, and assessments while ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and maintaining strong coordination with internal stakeholders and compliance / litigation team.
Key Responsibilities
GST Compliance
Assist in timely and accurate filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C
Perform monthly GST reconciliations between Purchase Register and GSTR-2B to identify mismatches and ensure accurate Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims within prescribed timelines.
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve GST discrepancies and compliance issues.
Assist in three-way reconciliation of Outward Supplies: Tax Invoice, E-Way Bill, Invoice Reference Number (IRN)
Reconcile GST balances as per GST portal with accounting records and pass necessary accounting entries.
Pass monthly GST set-off, utilization, and ITC reversal entries.
Prepare and maintain GST documentation, records, and registers required for audits, assessments, and GST refund claims.
Liaise with branches and regional offices on GST-related matters.
Direct Tax Compliance
Assist in preparation and filing of TDS returns.
Support corporate tax compliance by collating and analyzing data required for tax audits and assessments.
Assist in Transfer Pricing (TP) audit documentation and assessment proceedings.
Support tax assessments and respond to tax authority queries as required.
Audit Support
Reconcile revenues reported in financial statements with GST returns for annual compliance and audit purposes.
Provide tax-related schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents during statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Ensure proper maintenance of tax records and documentation for regulatory reviews.
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience in GST return filings and reconciliations.
Practical exposure to handling GST notices, audits, and assessments.
Good understanding of direct tax compliances, including TDS and corporate tax.
Proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation techniques.
Experience working with ERP systems, accounting software, and GST compliance tools.

Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with prior industry experience in FMCG, Pharma, Manufacturing, or Distribution sectors will be preferred.
Experience Requirement
2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in taxation and compliance within the industry.
