Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Create test cases and manually execute test plans across multiple Android and iOS applications.
• Collaborate with the QA team to plan, test and certify our software for release in an agile environment.
• Create & maintain automated tests for microservices calls / APIs, UI automation scripts for functional flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage for new features.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using tools like Jira.
• Implement continuous testing practices and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work closely with developers to prevent regressions issues.
• Monitor product quality metrics and proactively suggest process improvements.
• Mentor QA engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Would I be a good match for this position?

• Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• 4+ years in QA engineering, with minimum of 2-3 years experience focused on mobile application testing (Android/iOS).
• Experience dealing with varying levels of firmware, software and networking in testing.
• Strong ability to test multiple apps with staggered release cycles.
• Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• A detail-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to ensuring product quality.
• Willingness to collaborate with design, product management, and other teams.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in implementing continuous testing practices and integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Test automation experience (Selenium, Appium, Nightwatch.js).
• Performance testing with Locust and Jmeter.

• Attend a small number of team meetings and stay in touch.
• Read, understand and refine requirements for their work items, and sync up with the team.
• Write tests for the requirements and thoroughly test the requirements from end-to-end preventing defect leakage.
• Estimate effort required to complete work items.
• Read, understand technical requirements and help refine requirements for their work items, sync up with the team. Expected to understand business need behind work items.
• Write automated tests (UI/API).
• Discuss functionality with leads and business owners.
• Collaborate with peers in solving problems.
• Work with the QA lead / Engineering Manager to plan and report work.
