About Bajaj Capital
Bajaj Capital's RTR (Reconciliation, Transaction & Reporting) platform is
the backbone of our wealth management operations — processing high-volume
transactions, fund reconciliation, brokerage operations, and regulatory
reporting for millions of investor accounts. We are re-engineering this
platform to be cloud-native, event-driven, and AI-augmented.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong full stack, NodeJS
expertise to build and scale the RTR platform. You will work on
high-volume financial transaction processing, real-time reconciliation
engines, and regulatory reporting pipelines — with a strong emphasis on
reliability, data correctness, and AI integration.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and develop scalable microservices for the RTR platform using
Node.js.
-
Build real-time reconciliation engines that match transaction data
across AMCs, RTAs (CAMS/KFintech), exchanges, and internal systems.
-
Develop regulatory reporting modules: SEBI reports, AMFI NAV uploads,
tax computation (LTCG/STCG), and client statement generation.
-
Integrate with BSE StarMF, NSE NMF-II, CAMS, KFintech, CKYC, Account
Aggregator, UPI, NACH, and NPCI.
-
Implement idempotent, fault-tolerant transaction processing with
at-least-once/exactly-once delivery guarantees.
-
Build observability into every service: structured logging (ELK),
distributed tracing, and alerting dashboards (Grafana/Prometheus).
-
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests; maintain high coverage
on financial computation modules.
-
Collaborate with architects on database design (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and
API contracts.
Required Qualifications
-
3–6 years of backend development experience with strong NodeJS
proficiency.
-
Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, and distributed
systems patterns.
-
Strong SQL skills (Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL); ability to write and
optimise complex financial queries.
-
Experience with REST API design, OAuth 2.0 / JWT, and API security.
-
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins /
GitHub Actions).
-
Understanding of financial transaction concepts: NAV, SIP, STP, SWP,
redemption, switch, and corporate actions.
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent.
Good to Have
-
Prior experience in a wealth management, mutual fund, or NBFC technology
team.
-
Familiarity with SEBI, AMFI, or RBI regulatory reporting requirements.
-
Knowledge of Account Aggregator (AA) framework and FIP/FIU integration.
-
Experience with AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) and LLM
API integration.
AI Expectations
-
Use AI coding assistants as part of your daily development workflow for
writing, reviewing, and debugging code.
-
Contribute to AI-powered reconciliation features: anomaly detection,
pattern-based exception flagging, and intelligent discrepancy
resolution.
-
Identify where AI/ML can reduce manual exception handling in the RTR
pipeline.
