Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly disciplined Store Head with a strong
background in pharmaceutical store management only. The candidate must
have
hands-on expertise in handling RM, PM, Engineering Items, and Finished Goods
as
per GMP standards. This role requires strong documentation skills, audit
readiness,
and the ability to manage a team while ensuring strict compliance with pharma
quality systems.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Pharmaceutical Store & Inventory Management
• Oversee end-to-end handling of Raw Materials, Packing Materials, and
Finished
Goods strictly as per GMP and SOP requirements.
• Ensure FEFO/FIFO practices, material segregation, status labeling, and
controlled
storage conditions.
• Maintain 100 percent inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and
stock
reconciliations.
• Manage quarantine, approved, rejected, and returned materials as per QA
instructions.
Material Coordination for Pharma Manufacturing
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, and Purchase to ensure uninterrupted
supply
of materials.
• Track supplier deliveries, pending orders, and material requirements for
batches.
• Manage controlled dispensing of materials as per BMR/BPR requirements.
GMP Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain all pharma-specific documentation: GRN, issue slips, logbooks,
stock
registers, batch-wise traceability, etc.
• Ensure readiness for audits (internal, external, regulatory audits like
FDA).
• Comply with GDP (Good Documentation Practices) at all times.
• Ensure proper document retention, version control, and SOP compliance.
Team Leadership
• Lead and supervise store officers, assistants, and helpers.
• Train the team on pharma-specific SOPs, GDP, and GMP expectations.
• Allocate tasks and ensure disciplined execution of daily operations.
Safety & Housekeeping
• Ensure safe handling of sensitive API materials, solvents, and temperature-
controlled items.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas with clear labeling and safety
compliance.
ERP & System Improvements
• Utilize ERP/software for accurate material recording and reporting.
• Identify gaps and implement continuous improvement in store processes.
• Minimize expired, near-expiry, and non-moving inventory.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Mandatory experience in pharmaceutical store operations only
• Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, audits, and documentation
• Hands-on with FEFO/FIFO, traceability, and RM/PM handling
• Proficiency in ERP/Inventory management
• Strong communication and team leadership
• High attention to detail and discipline
• Ability to handle fast-paced, audit-driven environment
