Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to manage
financial operations, statutory compliance, costing, and reporting for our
paper manufacturing unit. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining
accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, controlling costs,
and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate should have
strong experience in manufacturing accounting, taxation, audit handling, and
cost analysis, preferably within the paper industry.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.

Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of financial records.

Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management review.

Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Costing & Manufacturing Analysis

Handle product costing and cost analysis related to paper manufacturing
operations.

Monitor raw material consumption, production costs, wastage, and process
efficiency.

Analyse inventory valuation, stock movement, and manufacturing overheads.
-
Support management in improving operational and cost efficiencies.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other statutory
regulations.

Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other regulatory filings
within timelines.
-
Handle assessments, notices, and correspondence with tax authorities.
-
Ensure compliance with Companies Act and corporate governance requirements.
ROC & Company Incorporation Activities
-
Manage ROC compliances including annual filings, statutory registers, board
resolutions, and secretarial documentation.

Coordinate company incorporation, amendments, and other corporate legal
documentation.

Ensure timely filing of forms and returns with the Registrar of Companies
(ROC).

Liaise with Company Secretaries, consultants, and regulatory authorities for
compliance-related matters.
Audit & Internal Controls
-
Coordinate and manage internal audits, statutory audits, and tax audits.
-
Ensure implementation of proper internal financial controls and accounting
procedures.

Support auditors with required schedules, reports, and documentation.
Budgeting & Treasury Management
-
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
-
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.
-
Coordinate with banks for loan documentation, banking facilities, and
financial requirements.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
-
Liaise with banks, auditors, government authorities, and consultants.
-
Coordinate with production, stores, procurement, and management teams for
financial planning and reporting.
Required Skills & Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, Taxation, and Financial Reporting
-
Experience in manufacturing costing, preferably in the paper industry
-
Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and statutory compliances
-
Proficiency in Tally, ERP, SAP, or other accounting software
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and coordination abilities
-
Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Preferred Candidate Profile

Prior experience in the paper manufacturing industry will be preferred.

Strong understanding of production costing and inventory management.

Ability to handle audits and statutory matters independently.
