AVP - Employee Benefits
Job Summary:
The Assistant Vice President of Employee Benefits plays a crucial role in
shaping and enhancing the benefits programs that support and engage our
workforce. This position is responsible for strategizing, implementing, and
managing comprehensive employee benefit packages that meet the diverse needs
of our employees, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic vision for the company's employee benefits
program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and workforce
needs.

Lead the evaluation, selection, and ongoing management of all employee
benefit plans, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave policies.

Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure the
competitiveness and effectiveness of benefit offerings.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance employee communication
and education concerning available benefits and programs.

Oversee compliance with applicable regulations and standards, managing
audits and assessments as necessary.

Analyze data and trends related to employee benefits utilization, making
recommendations to optimize costs and enhance employee satisfaction.

Foster a culture of wellness by implementing programs and initiatives that
support employee health and engagement.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related
field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in employee benefits, with
at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of benefit plan design, administration, and compliance with
relevant laws and regulations (e.g. ERISA, ACA).

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with
diverse employee populations.

Proficient in HRIS and benefits administration technology; experience with
data analytics tools is a plus.
- Certifications such as CEBS or SHRM-CP preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in benefits planning within a diverse, multi-state or
international workforce.

Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully
implementing new benefit programs.

Familiarity with innovative benefits trends and practices, particularly in
wellness and flexible work arrangements.
