Job Description
- Job Title: Senior Trade Finance & Commodity Operations Manager
- Department: Trading Department

- Location: UAE - Dubai
Job Summary:
Senior trade finance professional with over 20 years of experience handling LC-backed commodity trades across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Job Duties & Responsibilities in Details:
- Structured and negotiated sight and usance LCs exceeding USD 400 million annually.
- Led bank negotiations with African and international banks including Access Bank.
- Managed LC discrepancies, confirmations, and discounting.
- Supported trading of metals, agric commodities, and energy products.
- Executed LC-backed international commodity trades.
- Aligned commercial contracts with LC terms to minimize discrepancies.
- Managed CFR, CIF, and FOB contracts.
- Prepared and reviewed LC-compliant shipping documents.
- Coordinated with banks and inspection agencies.
- Supported multi-country commodity shipments.
- Handled end-to-end LC documentation and negotiation.
- Worked closely with traders, insurers, and logistics providers.
- Ensured UCP 600 and sanctions compliance.
Qualifications:
- MBA – Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in trading company.
- CDCS – ICC Certified Documentary Credit Specialist.
- Letters of Credit (UCP 600).
- Commodity Trade Finance.

- Africa & Emerging Markets.
- Risk & Compliance.
- LC Negotiation & Amendment.
