Job Summary:
Responsible for the inspection, fitting, maintenance, repair, modification, and cleaning of precast concrete moulds and accessories to ensure moulds are safe, accurate, and ready for production. The role also involves welding, fabrication, workforce supervision, and maintenance record keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, repair, and modify moulds, locks, clamps, doors, bars, cylinders, rubber, and other mould accessories as per requirements.
- Perform mould size changes, fitting, alignment, dent correction, welding, and fabrication for various precast products.
- Ensure proper attachment, assembly, and functionality of moulds before production.
- Supervise mould cleaning, oiling, greasing, mopping, and colouring to maintain mould quality and life.
- Manage and monitor mould maintenance workers, attendance, and daily work allocation.
- Inspect new moulds and accessories, verify quantity/quality, and report non-conforming materials.
- Monitor C-clamp production, consumption, repairs, and stock and maintain related records.
- Maintain daily work logs, maintenance records, pending work, and mould modification details.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work for moulds and other plant requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Maintenance, and Shift Supervisors for required materials and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all mould maintenance activities comply with quality, safety, and EHS requirements.
