Job Description Job Objective
Job Title Shift Lead Production Shift Lead Production will be responsible for
supervising and
controlling shift-wise soya plant operations to ensure safe,
efficient, and uninterrupted production. The role focuses on
meeting daily production targets, maintaining product quality
standards, minimizing downtime, and ensuring adherence to
safety and food compliance requirements. The incumbent will
coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, and warehouse
teams to ensure smooth plant operations during the assigned
shift.

Main Responsibilities Key Performance Indicators / KPIs
Supervise shift-wise production activities including extrusion, drying,
milling, and
packaging operations to ensure achievement of daily production targets.
Ensure machinery is operated within defined parameters and escalate
technical issues
promptly to minimize downtime.
Monitor product yield, wastage, and process efficiency during the shift and
implement corrective actions where required.
Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of breakdowns
and
adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and plant safety standards during the
assigned
shift.
Maintain proper production records, shift reports, and handover notes to
ensure
operational continuity.
Manage and supervise operators and technicians, ensuring discipline,
productivity,
and adherence to SOPs.
Ensure optimal manpower utilization and maintain housekeeping standards
across
the plant area.
Achievement of daily and weekly production targets.
Shift-wise efficiency and wastage control.
Reduction in shift-level unplanned downtime (MTTR/MTBF monitoring).
Compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Manpower productivity and discipline during assigned shift.

Education/Experience/Skills required
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Food Technology, or related discipline.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in soya processing or
food manufacturing operations.
Hands-on experience in operating and supervising soya
machinery including extruders and dryers.
Technical Skills Required
Understanding of soya processing equipment and
process parameters.
Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and
troubleshooting principles.
Strong understanding of GMP and food safety
compliance.
Ability to interpret production data and prepare shift
performance reports.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
