Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mill Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our oil palm
mill facility in Gabon. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance
and repair of milling equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and minimizing downtime to
support efficient palm oil production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance:
 Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on milling equipment, including
sterilizers, digesters, presses, and associated machinery.
 Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes
and implement effective solutions.
 Perform preventive maintenance tasks to prolong equipment lifespan and minimize unplanned
downtime.
2. Technical Support:
 Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians and mill operators to ensure
safe and efficient operation of equipment.
 Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance,
troubleshoot complex issues, and implement process improvements.
 Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to diagnose and resolve equipment
malfunctions promptly.
3. Spare Parts Management:
 Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, including ordering, stock levels, and usage
tracking.
 Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of critical
spare parts and components.
 Evaluate alternative suppliers and sourcing options to optimize cost-effectiveness and minimize
lead times.
4. Safety and Compliance:
 Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe
working environment for all personnel.
 Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety inspections to identify and mitigate
potential safety hazards.
 Train maintenance staff on safe work practices, equipment operation, and emergency
procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced
degree or relevant certifications preferred.
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, preferably
in palm oil milling or related industries.
 Strong technical knowledge of palm oil milling processes, including sterilization, digestion,
pressing, and clarification.
 Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and implementing
effective solutions.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
diverse teams.
 Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
 Fluency in French and English languages preferred.
