Job Title: Senior Finance Manager / Head of Finance

Mission-Critical Overview:
We are not looking for a typical Finance Manager. We need a hands-on builder and problem-solver
to completely overhaul and own the financial health of our diaper manufacturing operations in
Africa. For years, our weakest link has been accounting. The right candidate will diagnose control
weaknesses, implement rigorous costing and reporting systems from the ground up using Tally ERP,
and provide actionable insights to turn finance into a pillar of profitability and cash flow stability.
This is a foundational, turnaround role for a leader who is as comfortable building processes and
mentoring a team as they are analyzing margins and forecasting cash flow.

Core Responsibilities – What We Really Need:

· Fix the Foundation: Design, document, and implement iron-clad financial controls (e.g., no payment
without a receipt, no material movement without documentation).
· Master Costing: Build and maintain accurate product costing models (raw material, production,
defect, landed cost) and daily/weekly profitability tracking for production.
· Provide Actionable Insight: Go beyond reporting to advise, e.g., “Production volume is too low to
be profitable; we must increase output by X%” or “Switching to Material Y will reduce cost by Z.”
· Own Cash Flow & Planning: Create rolling 6-month and 12-month cash flow projections directly tied
to production planning and raw material re-ordering.
· Build the Team: Recruit, train, and lead the finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of
accuracy and discipline.
· Leverage Tally Fully: Use Tally ERP not just for recording, but to automate controls, costing, and
reporting.
· Manage Compliance & Strategy: Handle all taxes (Ghana), audits, payroll, sales commission
calculations, and provide strategic financial guidance.

Mandatory "Must-Have" Qualifications:

· MBA/MA in Finance/Accounting.
· Minimum 8 years in finance/accounting.
· Non-negotiable 1: Deep, hands-on experience implementing and using Tally ERP for controls and
costing in manufacturing.
· Non-negotiable 2: Proven cost accounting background in manufacturing (FMCG/consumer goods
ideal).
· Non-negotiable 3: A documented track record of diagnosing financial weaknesses and
implementing corrective processes/systems.
· Strong preference for candidates with Africa work experience and experience building/mentoring a
finance team.
