Job Purpose
To plan, schedule, and monitor biscuit production activities based on sales demand, finished
goods inventory, machine capacity, manpower, raw material availability, packaging material
availability, and customer priorities. The role is responsible for ensuring timely supply, optimum
stock levels, efficient line utilization, and smooth coordination between Production, Sales,
Warehouse, Procurement, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for biscuit lines based on sales
forecasts, confirmed orders, opening stock, minimum inventory levels, SKU priorities, and
available production capacity.
• Create and monitor production schedules considering line-wise capacity, oven and packaging
machine constraints, manpower availability, changeover requirements, batch sizes, and
product running sequences.
• Use ERP systems for production order creation, material requirement checking, stock
monitoring, production posting follow-up, and planning-related data analysis.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of raw
materials, packaging materials, wrappers, cartons, trays, ingredients, and other production
inputs as per the plan.
• Monitor actual production versus planned production, identify shortfalls or excess
production, analyze reasons for variances, and highlight corrective actions to the concerned
departments.
• Maintain proper control over finished goods inventory to avoid stock-outs, overproduction,
slow-moving stock, expiry risk, and unnecessary warehouse congestion.
• Analyze sales trends, SKU movement, forecast accuracy, stock coverage, line efficiency,
production compliance, and changeover losses to improve planning accuracy and
operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily and weekly planning reports, dashboards, stock summaries, production
performance reports, and management updates using Microsoft Excel and ERP data.
• Support S&OP activities by providing capacity analysis, production feasibility, inventory
status, supply risk updates, and recommendations for balancing demand and supply.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts,
dashboards, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF formulas, data validation, and basic data
analysis.
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems for production planning, material planning, stock
monitoring, and production order management.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills to calculate production requirements, line
capacity, stock coverage, material requirements, manpower needs, and planning priorities.
• Good understanding of production planning, inventory management, capacity planning,
material requirement planning, and FMCG manufacturing operations.
• Ability to handle multiple SKUs, frequent priority changes, urgent requirements, and
production constraints in a fast-paced biscuit manufacturing environment.
• Strong coordination, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills with the ability
to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail, accuracy in data handling, and ability to identify planning risks
before they affect production or customer supply.

Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management / engineering,
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in production planning, supply planning, material
planning, or inventory planning, preferably in biscuit, bakery, food manufacturing, or FMCG
industry.
• Practical experience in managing multiple production lines, multiple SKUs, raw materials,
packaging materials, finished goods stocks, and daily production schedules will be preferred.
