Liferay Platform Lead

1. Platform Architecture

• Own Liferay DXP architecture and platform roadmap.
• Define Digital architecture for assets like public facing websites, intranet, enterprise portals like customer/partner portal.
• Establish development, deployment, and environment standards.
• Ensure scalability, availability, and performance.

2. Integration & Enterprise Applications

• Integrate Liferay with SAP S/4HANA, CRM, HR, IAM, document management and other enterprise applications .
• Manage APIs, REST services, middleware and event-based integrations.
• Coordinate with SAP BTP/CPI teams where required.

3. Identity & Security

• Own integration with Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory / SSO .
• Define RBAC, authentication and authorization.
• Manage security patches, vulnerabilities, and platform hardening.

4. Platform Development & Delivery

• Lead Liferay developers, technical delivery partners.
• Establish coding, Git, CI/CD and release-management standards.
• Hands on experience on Fragments, Client Extensions, Objects, and Headless APIs, clustering, and performance tuning.
• Review Liferay best practice and coding standards for long term maintainability.
• Ensure upgradeability and minimize unnecessary customization.

5. Business & Digital Experience

• Translate business requirements into Liferay solutions.
• Manage employee portals, project portals, customer portals, and partner portals.
• Drive UX, content management, workflow, and personalization.

6. Operations & Governance

• Own production support, incident/problem/change management.
• Define SLA, monitoring, backup/DR and capacity management.
• Manage Liferay licensing, vendors and implementation partners.
• Maintain technical documentation and architecture standards.

Liferay Platform Lead – 8-10 years of experience

with strong experience in:

• Liferay DXP 7.4 and above
• Java / Jakarta EE/ Spring
• REST APIs
• Microservices
• SSO / OAuth2 / SAML
• Entra ID / AD
• Docker/Kubernetes or cloud deployment
• CI/CD
• Enterprise integration
• SAP integration exposure
• Portal/content/workflow architecture
• RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL etc), search engines (Elasticsearch) 
• Tomcat and Webservers
