VP Java Architect Wealth & Investment Technology

The VP – Wealth & Investment Technology will lead the technology vision, architecture and engineering strategy for Company wealth management and investment platforms. The incumbent will drive technology capabilities supporting investment products, advisory platforms, portfolio management, customer engagement, fund management, digital investing experiences and partner ecosystems.

The role will partner with business, investment, product, operations and compliance teams to build scalable, secure and data-driven wealth platforms delivering superior customer and advisor experiences.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Define and execute the technology roadmap for wealth management and investment platforms.
• Lead engineering delivery across investment products, portfolio management, customer onboarding, advisory platforms and digital investment experiences.
• Build scalable platforms supporting investment operations, reporting, customer engagement and portfolio analytics.
• Drive modernization of wealth technology using cloud-native architecture, APIs and modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Investment, Product, Operations, Compliance and Business teams to deliver innovative digital investment solutions.
• Lead platform integrations with custodians, exchanges, market data providers, payment systems and financial ecosystem partners.
• Drive customer personalization, advisor enablement and digital engagement capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, architecture governance, quality practices and platform security.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams across platform engineering, application development, QA, DevOps and architecture.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
• Drive adoption of analytics, AI and data-driven capabilities across wealth platforms.
• Build a culture of innovation, engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of technology leadership experience with significant exposure to wealth management, investments or capital markets platforms.
• Strong understanding of investment lifecycle, portfolio management, advisory platforms and customer engagement.
• Experience building scalable enterprise platforms using cloud technologies, APIs, microservices and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of digital investing platforms, wealth products and financial ecosystem integrations.
• Strong leadership experience managing engineering organizations and large technology initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and strategic planning capabilities.
• Experience driving digital transformation and platform modernization.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery models, DevSecOps and engineering governance.
• Demonstrated ability to build high-performing technology organizations.
