About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior QA Lead who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality products. You will collaborate closely with AI, Engineering, and Product teams to define and implement robust test strategies across web and mobile platforms. Your deep experience in automation testing with Selenium, Appium (Java) , and your understanding of the entire STLC will be key to scaling our QA practices.

This role demands someone with a strong product mindset — someone who not only tests features but deeply understands the why behind them, anticipates user behaviour, and helps shape the product experience with a quality-first approach. Experience in testing AI-driven applications is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and drive end-to-end QA processes including test planning, automation strategy, and release sign-offs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI, product managers, and developers to ensure test coverage for new features and product iterations.
Develop and maintain automation test frameworks using Selenium and Appium with Java .
Champion a product-centric approach to QA by understanding user journeys, edge cases, and product intent.
Lead testing efforts for AI-enabled features , evaluating output quality in terms of relevancy, hallucination, intelligibility, bias, sentiment , and consistency.
Work closely with AI teams to validate model outputs, edge-case handling, and real-world user scenarios.
Mentor and guide QA engineers, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
Analyze product requirements and contribute to product quality discussions from a user and business impact perspective .
Track, report, and drive resolution of bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Own the quality strategy across mobile and desktop applications.
Advocate for a quality-first and customer-first mindset across teams.

Key Requirements:

7+ years of QA experience, with at least 2–3 years in a QA lead role .
Strong hands-on experience in Selenium and Appium with Java for automation testing.
Solid understanding and execution experience in STLC, test strategy, test case design , and test automation .
Experience testing both mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications .
Proven ability to think from the end-user’s perspective and align testing with product goals.
Hands-on experience in AI-enabled application testing , including model output evaluation , intent accuracy , response quality , bias detection , and hallucination control .
Prior work experience in startup environments with a strong product-focus mindset.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines , version control (Git), and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
