Key responsibilities
Manufacturing execution
-
Own daily output, quality, cost and safety across both plants.
-
Establish structured daily management and performance review at line, plant
and operations level.
-
Build and hold a reliable production schedule, with clear escalation for
exceptions.
-
Ensure material readiness and line-side availability so production runs to
plan.
Planning and systems
-
Strengthen production planning and control, moving the business towards
fully ERP-driven planning and execution.
-
Improve data integrity across bills of material, item masters and inventory
records.
-
Build inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counting and transaction
hygiene.
-
Improve visibility and planning of long-lead and minimum-order-quantity
materials.
Improvement and capability
-
Drive a continuous improvement programme covering changeover reduction,
layout and flow, and preventive maintenance of critical assets.
-
Build capability in supervisors and area owners through skill matrices,
structured training and succession planning.
-
Embed safety and 5S as everyday practice with measurable standards.
-
Partner with Product Development to make new product introduction a
controlled, well-gated ramp.
-
Develop supplier performance management in partnership with Purchase.
What success looks like
Within the first year, we expect this role to deliver measurable improvement
in:
-
Schedule adherence and on-time-in-full delivery
-
Inventory and master-data accuracy
-
Manufacturing cost per unit
-
Changeover and line efficiency
-
Team stability, capability and safety performance
Specific baselines and targets will be agreed jointly in the first 90 days.
Who we are looking for
Essential
-
12–18 years in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing, including at
least 4 years as Plant Head, Works Manager or Operations Head with full cost
ownership.
-
Experience across both PCB assembly and plastics or mechanical assembly
operations.
-
Demonstrated success in building planning discipline — MRP, kanban or
pull-based execution — with results you can evidence.
-
Hands-on lean and TPM practice: kaizen, changeover reduction, daily
management systems.
-
Strong ERP working knowledge, ideally SAP, in a production environment.
-
Proven leadership of a large shop-floor workforce; fluency in Gujarati and
Hindi in addition to English.
-
Experience in high-mix, multi-variant manufacturing.
Preferred
-
Experience improving ERP master data and BOM structures in a live
manufacturing setting.
-
Exposure to new product introduction and ramp management in a
consumer-facing category.
-
Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment where
process is still being built.
What we offer
-
End-to-end ownership of manufacturing for a growing, vertically integrated
business.
-
Direct reporting to and close working relationship with the Managing
Director.
-
Compensation commensurate with experience, with a performance-linked
component and long-term incentive.
-
The scope to build an operating system, a team and a culture — not simply to
maintain one.
