Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Pest Control & Facilities Management is
responsible for overseeing pest control operations and supporting the overall
management of facility maintenance for new and ongoing government and large
private contracts. The role includes supervising service teams, managing
in-house worker issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing operational
efficiency, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and customer
satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Pest Control Management
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily pest control operations across assigned
sites.
Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
Conduct routine inspections to identify pest infestations and recommend
corrective actions.
Ensure proper application of pesticides and chemicals in accordance with
safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Monitor pest activity trends and implement preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, chemical usage, and
service reports.
Investigate pest-related complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with local health, environmental, and pest control
regulations.
Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders regarding pest management
activities.
Facilities Management
Assist in planning and managing day-to-day facility operations.
Monitor building maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, waste management, and
utility services.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure facility assets are maintained in optimal working condition.
Supervise outsourced service providers and contractors to ensure service
quality and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Conduct regular facility inspections and recommend improvements.
Support emergency response planning and business continuity initiatives.
Team Leadership & Supervision
Supervise pest control technicians and facility staff.
Schedule manpower effectively to meet operational requirements.
Conduct staff training on safety procedures, pest control techniques, and
customer service.
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
Promote safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Customer Service
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Address customer concerns and resolve service issues promptly.
Conduct customer satisfaction reviews and implement service improvements.
Prepare service reports and communicate operational updates to clients.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
Monitor inventory of chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
Coordinate procurement requests and maintain stock levels.
Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives.
Review contractor invoices and verify completed work.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Environmental Science,
Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications in Pest Control, Facilities Management, Health
& Safety, or Integrated Pest Management (preferred).
Experience
5–8 years of experience in pest control, facilities management, or integrated
facilities services.
At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Experience managing outsourced contractors and multiple sites is preferred.
