Position Name: Head of Supply Chain

Reporting to: CEO

Purpose of role:

To ensure on time Delivery of materials to produce Grinding Machine Tools.
To optimise cost of materials in line with business requirement and to sustain competitive edge in the market.
To Ensure the quality of materials bought as per the business requirement.
To develop cost effective, high quality & reliable vendor partners aligned with the Business Growth goals for long term business sustenance.
To centralise buying across different business units for making supply chain cost effective and robust.
To put in place best practises in Supply Chain Function to ensure good vendor relations, & highest standards of corporate governance.

Key Result Areas:

Critical Tasks:

Monitor & Keep effective DWM (Daily Work Management) in SCM function.
Procurement Planning based on PPC inputs, forecast from sales.
Spearhead negotiations with suppliers for high value procurement or as needed to ensure best price.
Active participation in improvement of SAP process related to procurement or processes affective procurement & inventory management.
Search, evaluation of new vendors to meet cost, capacity, quality & on time delivery requirement.
Regular meetings, visits to Vendors/suppliers for audits and relationship management.
Regular review & follow up with team and suppliers to ensure on time delivery & schedule adherence.
Regular Performance review & career planning of team members.
Weekly/monthly MIS release from SCM function aligned with business goals.
