Position Overview:

The National Collection Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the entire collections function across the Group Loans vertical, with a strong focus on overdue (OD) collections, NPA reduction, recovery strategies, and portfolio health improvement. The role requires a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in collections for group loans.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement national-level collections strategy for group loans and related products.
Drive OD and NPA collections through effective processes, field operations, and legal measures.
Monitor delinquency trends, bucket movement, and recovery performance across regions.
Collaborate with regional and zonal collection managers to ensure adherence to collection policies.
Strengthen skip tracing, repossession, and recovery mechanisms for hard bucket cases.
Establish and monitor KPIs, collection targets, and incentive frameworks for teams.
Liaise with legal and compliance teams for SARFAESI, arbitration, and other legal recoveries.
Implement technology-driven collection practices including digital tracking, automation, and analytics.
Conduct regular portfolio reviews with senior management to assess collection efficiency.
Build, mentor, and lead a pan-India collection workforce (in-house + agency).
Drive vendor/agency empanelment, performance monitoring, and cost optimization.
Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
20+ years of experience in collections & recovery management in NBFCs / Banks, with at least 5+ years in a national leadership role.
Extensive exposure to group loan collections and handling large, diversified portfolios (Group, individual, MSME, business loans).
Proven track record of reducing NPAs and improving collection efficiency.
