About Role
The Compliance Manager supports the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in overseeing the company’s compliance framework and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements applicable to NBFCs. The role involves managing regulatory filings, coordinating with regulators during inspections, monitoring compliance obligations, and strengthening internal control mechanisms to address compliance risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with RBI regulations, circulars, master directions, and applicable laws governing NBFC operations.
- Assisting in preparation and submission of regulatory filings and returns to the RBI and other regulatory authorities within stipulated timelines.
- Supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and supervisory reviews by coordinating documentation and responses.
- Updating internal compliance policies, SOPs, and control frameworks in line with evolving regulations.
- Tracking compliance gaps, recommending corrective actions, and assist in ensuring timely closure of observations.
- Maintaining compliance dashboards, registers, and MIS reports for senior management and board-level committees.
- Supporting implementation of governance, risk management, AML/KYC, Fair Practices Code, and data privacy requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- CS qualified professionals.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in the NBFC sector.
- Exposure to compliance tools, dashboards, and automation of tracking/reporting is preferred.
- Language proficiency – English, Tamil & any other language.
