Job Description: Founder’s Office Associate

Description

Role Overview: You will act as a strategic partner, handling everything from high-level research and project management to the essential day-to-day operational tasks that keep the business moving. This is a "generalist" role that offers a front-row seat to how a company is built and scaled.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Support & Special Projects
   • Execute "0 to 1" Projects: Lead new initiatives that don’t yet have a dedicated department (e.g., launching a new market, setting up a new internal tool, or piloting a new service).
   • Strategic Planning: Assist the Founder in quarterly and annual planning by gathering data, tracking KPIs, and ensuring key milestones are met.
   • Problem Solving: Act as a "firefighter" for urgent issues across the business, providing quick analysis and recommendations.
2. Research & Analysis
   • Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on competitors, industry trends, and potential new business opportunities.
   • Data Synthesis: Take raw data from various departments and turn it into actionable insights and summary briefs for the Founder.
   • Investor Relations: Assist in preparing pitch decks, monthly investor updates, and financial reports.
3. Operations & Cross-Departmental Coordination
   • The "Bridge": Serve as a liaison between the Founder and department heads (Product, Sales, HR, Finance) to ensure clear communication and follow-through.
   • Meeting Lifecycle: Attend key meetings, document decisions, and—most importantly—ensure that everyone involved stays accountable to their deadlines.
   • Internal Comms: Draft company-wide announcements, presentations, and speeches on behalf of the Founder.
4. Product Growth Experiments
   • Growth Hacking: Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to identify, design, and execute low-cost experiments to drive user acquisition and retention.
   • A/B Testing & Iteration: Help manage small-scale tests (e.g., landing page tweaks, referral loops, or email campaigns) and track performance metrics.
   • User Feedback Loops: Gather and synthesize qualitative feedback from early users to help the Founder prioritize the product roadmap.
   • Funnel Analysis: Monitor the user journey to identify bottlenecks and suggest data-driven solutions to improve conversion rates.

• Exceptional Communication: You can mimic the Founder’s voice and create professional decks, reports, and emails that resonate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Project Management Mastery: You are highly organized and capable of managing multiple moving pieces simultaneously without dropping the ball.
• High Agency & Proactivity: You don't wait for a "how-to" manual; you have a "figure-it-out" mindset and take full ownership of the outcomes you are assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years in a high-growth startup, management consulting, investment banking, or a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Canva, and project management tools (Asana, Notion, or Trello).
• Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities at a moment's notice.
