About the role

We have an opportunity in our Projects division for Electrical Design & Engineering role of EHV Substation based at our Airoli Office, detailed JD attached for your ready reference.

Brief about the Projects business –

The Projects Division undertakes Design, Engineering Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Turnkey Projects for the following:

Outdoor EHV & HV Switchyards up to and including 220 kV

Indoor Sub-stations, Overhead and Under Ground Distribution Systems

Industrial Electrification for lighting and power distribution

Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Electrical engineering

Experience: Electrical Design & Engineering professional with minimum 8 to 15 years of experience in MV/HV/EHV/UHV Substation Design. Project Design Engineering of Electrical Equipment’s in substations, Switchyards, Transformers, Switchgears, Control & Monitoring equipment’s

CTC: 10 – 15 LPA

Work Location: No. 2, MIDC, Thane Belapur Road, Opp. Airoli Railway Station, Airoli (E), Navi Mumbai - 400708

Work hours: 09.00 am to 05.30 pm, Work from Office-6 days a week, all Saturdays working

Job Description:

· Responsible for project design & engineering of Switchyard projects that includes Power Transformer, Unit Auxiliary Transformer (UAT), Station auxiliaries, Switchgears, Protective and control equipment’s for Switchyards.

· Responsible for complete design & engineering of SLD, Plan & Section Layout, EKD, Electrical Equipment Layout, Control Room Layout & Cable Trench Layout for switch yard Projects.

· Responsible for complete design & engineering of Earthing and Lighting Protection system for Power Plant & Switchyard.

· Responsible for detailed design engineering of CT/VT Sizing, Cable Sizing, Battery sizing Calculation, Short Circuit Force Calculation

· Responsible for vendor drawing validation & providing engineering input to equipment manufacturer.

· Responsible for vendor offer validation & providing engineering input procurement team for equipment ordering.

· Relay Coordination’s, protection Scheme checking and preparation of Cable Schedule interfacing all electrical equipment’s like Breaker, Transformer, Generator etc.

· Profound Knowledge in Communication system used in Substation & shall be responsible smooth execution of SAS/FOTE/IOs in substation

· Adhering Drawing Approval from Customer /Consultant

· Good Technical Abilities and problem solving Skills.

· The ability to work well for Timely Deliverable.

· The Motivation to work extra hours whenever to Achieve the Objective of Getting Timely Approval of Engineering Drawings and GTPS of Various Equipment’s under the Scope of Work of Project is necessary.

· Proficient Auto Cad-2D /Excel

· Sound Knowledge in ETAP Calculation

· Proficient in Relevant IEC /IS Standards used for Switchgear

Design documents & drawings for switchyard:

· SLD Preparation

· Switchyard Plan & Section Layout

· Switchyard Erection Key Diagram

· Switchyard Earthing Calculation

· Layouts – Cabling, Lighting and Earthing

· Cable sizing and Interconnection Cable Schedule

· Preparing cable harness /wiring chart

· Design of Junction boxes, ACDB, DCDB, BMK

· Short circuit Force Calculation

· Sag Tension Calculation

· CT Sizing calculation

· Review of All Drawings coming from Vendor

· Review of Civil & Structure Drawings

Following are the screening questions:

a. Whether the Candidate are Conversant with Design & Engineering of SLD, Plan & Section Layout, EKD, Electrical Equipment Layout, Control Room Layout & Cable Trench Layout for switch yard Projects.

b. Whether the Candidate are conversant with Design & Engineering of Earthing and Lighting Protection system for Power Plant & Switchyard.

c. Whether the Candidate is conversant with Design and Engineering of CT/VT Sizing, Cable Sizing, Battery sizing Calculation, Short Circuit Force Calculation.

d. Whether they are conversant with Relay Coordination’s, protection Scheme checking and preparation of Cable Schedule interfacing all electrical equipment’s like Breaker, Transformer, Generator etc.

e. Whether they are Conversant with Communication system used in Substation & shall be responsible smooth execution of SAS/FOTE/IOs in substation. Whether they have Used Software like ETAP , DIALUX Etc
