Head of Safety & Security

Job Purpose:
The Head of Security is responsible for organizing and overseeing all security operations at the plant in line with company policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Manage budgets and monitor expenses for security operations.
• Recruit, train, supervise security officers, and manage external security service providers.
• Plan and coordinate security operations for events and emergency responses.
• Review incident reports, investigate issues, and propose improvements.
• Support People & Culture initiatives, including training, performance management, and team development.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a security manager or in a similar position.
• Ex-Army (Indian) or equivalent ranks from CRPF/BSF/CISF/ITBP/SSB (e.g., Captain, Honorary Captain, Subhedar Major, Assistant Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Inspector).

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong surveillance, emergency response, and conflict resolution skills.
• Leadership and people management abilities.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and security threats.
• Fluent in English; local language knowledge preferred; French or Portuguese is a plus.
• Integrity, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Please ensure that person is from defence background and having strong experience in managing overall plant security & safety including CCTV control centre, Vigilance etc.
