Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality & R&D Lead to drive Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Product Development and Regulatory Compliance for our cosmetic and personal care products. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Indian and international regulatory requirements , while supporting new product development, commercialization and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Quality, Regulatory and Safety Compliance across products, processes, R&D and operations.
Ensure compliance with applicable Indian and international regulations for cosmetics and personal care products.
Manage regulatory requirements, product registrations, dossiers, documentation and product approvals for domestic and international markets.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including FDA, EU, GCC/GSO, ASEAN, BIS and other applicable regulatory bodies/standards .
Drive New Product Development (NPD) , product trials, commercialization and technology transfer in coordination with R&D, manufacturing and other functions.
Review and ensure product specifications, testing methods, SOPs, artwork, labeling and technical documentation meet regulatory and quality requirements.
Lead Quality Management Systems, internal/external audits, GMP, GLP and certification requirements .
Manage consumer/market complaints, deviation, CAPA, RCA and out-of-specification investigations .
Conduct risk assessments, FMEA, process validation and quality improvement initiatives .
Work closely with R&D, Production, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing and Legal teams.
Manage RM, PM and finished-goods quality , including supplier/vendor audits and quality evaluation.
Drive continuous improvement through TQM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, RCA and other quality tools .
Ensure effective documentation and change-control management across quality and regulatory processes.
Lead and develop the Quality & R&D team, including technical training and capability building.

Key Requirements

10–15+ years of experience in Quality, Regulatory and/or R&D, preferably within Cosmetics, Personal Care, FMCG, Beauty or related industries .
Strong hands-on experience in cosmetic and personal care product quality and regulatory compliance .
Good understanding of Indian regulatory requirements and exposure to international regulatory requirements .
Experience with regulatory requirements across markets such as India, EU, FDA/US, GCC/GSO and ASEAN will be preferred.
Strong experience in NPD, product commercialization, quality systems, audits and regulatory documentation .
Exposure to products such as creams, lotions, serums, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, fragrances, color cosmetics and other personal care products would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, QMS, CAPA, FMEA, process validation and quality improvement methodologies .
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and external regulatory/quality stakeholders .
Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualification

Master's/Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, Food Science or a related technical field .
Additional qualifications/certifications in Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, GMP, Six Sigma or related areas would be preferred.
