We are seeking an exceptional Director-level leader to own the full lifecycle of our global Supply Chain Planning Solution program — from architecture and implementation through live operational leadership. This role uniquely combines deep technical credibility in planning platforms with the operational experience to run planning as a sustained business function.
The successful candidate will serve as both the program architect during transformation and the functional head who owns planning excellence once deployed. You will partner directly with commercial, finance, and operations leadership to define the planning operating model, drive S&OP/IBP maturity, and translate technology capability into measurable business outcomes across demand, supply, inventory, and procurement.
This is a cornerstone role in our digital transformation strategy, and the right candidate will be equally comfortable configuring planning logic in Blue Yonder as they are presenting operational performance to the executive steering committee.
▸ Lead the end-to-end global Supply Chain Planning Implementation Program from initiation through hypercare and steady-state stabilization.
▸ Define and own program governance: charters, workstream accountability matrices, RAID logs, and executive steering committee reporting cadence.
▸ Establish program KPIs, success criteria, and business value realization frameworks aligned to corporate strategy.
▸ Manage a multi-million-dollar program budget, resource plans, and vendor partnerships to deliver within scope, timeline, and cost.
▸ Drive structured program operating rhythms — stand-ups, sprint reviews, milestone gates, and go/no-go decision forums.
▸ Lead end-to-end process re-engineering across demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and procurement alignment.
▸ Align business requirements with planning platform best practices; challenge legacy processes where technology can unlock step-change improvements.
▸ Partner with global and regional leaders to harmonize planning processes while accommodating legitimate local market nuances.
▸ Define and enforce process governance, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and sustainability reporting obligations across all planning workstreams.
▸ Document future-state process flows, RACI matrices, and operating procedures to ensure repeatable, scalable planning execution.
▸ Oversee design, configuration, integration, testing, and phased global deployment of the supply chain planning platform (Blue Yonder highly preferred; Kinaxis, SAP IBP, or o9 equivalently considered).
▸ Provide hands-on technical direction on planning model configuration: statistical forecasting, consensus demand management, supply network optimization, and inventory policy engine setup.
▸ Manage system integrations across ERP, procurement, logistics, and analytics platforms — including data mapping, API design, and master data governance standards.
▸ Lead data management strategy: master data quality, cleansing workflows, hierarchy design, and ongoing stewardship to ensure planning system integrity.
▸ Own testing strategy (SIT, UAT, parallel run), change impact assessment, and cutover planning for each phased regional rollout.
▸ Evaluate and recommend architectural decisions - cloud vs. hybrid deployment, integration patterns, analytics extensions — in partnership with enterprise architecture teams.
▸ Lead the day-to-day operational planning function, owning the integrated S&OP/IBP cycle: demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP, and executive planning meetings with defined inputs, outputs, and accountabilities.
▸ Set and track planning performance metrics — forecast accuracy, inventory turns, fill rates, and supply plan adherence — with regular reporting to senior leadership.
▸ Establish a Center of Excellence (COE) for supply chain planning with standardized processes, planning playbooks, and a continuous improvement framework.
▸ Partner with commercial, finance, and procurement leadership to ensure planning outputs drive aligned business decisions across horizons.
▸ Develop planning team capability through structured coaching, role clarity, and cross-functional exposure to build a high-performing, self-sustaining planning organization.
▸ Serve as the primary liaison across IT, business units, solution providers, and external SI/consulting partners throughout all program phases.
▸ Lead executive alignment and stakeholder communication across global functions and geographies — from operational planners to C-suite sponsors.
▸ Design and deliver structured change management, role-based training, and adoption programs to ensure long-term value realization beyond go-live.
▸ Build internal capability and bench strength so the organization is self-sufficient and continuously improving post-implementation.
▸ Manage vendor and SI relationships, holding partners accountable to contractual deliverables, quality standards, and escalation protocols.
▸ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or Information Systems; MBA or master’s preferred.
▸ 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, with at least 10 years in program leadership, planning leadership, or transformation roles.
▸ Proven track record leading global, technology-enabled supply chain transformation programs in complex distribution, manufacturing, or high-tech industries.
▸ Demonstrated experience owning an operational planning function (S&OP/IBP process leadership, planning team management, forecast accountability) - not just implementing it.
▸ Deep domain expertise in supply chain planning processes: statistical demand planning, multi-echelon inventory optimization, capacity-constrained supply planning, and IBP/S&OP design.
▸ Hands-on implementation experience with Blue Yonder (highly desired), Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP, or o9 Solutions — including model configuration, not just oversight.
▸ Experience managing cross-functional planning teams of 10+ people across multiple geographies.
▸ Deep understanding of planning platform architectures: data models, planning engines, optimization solvers, and integration patterns.
▸ Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or equivalent) to drive insights from planning system outputs.
▸ Strong knowledge of ERP integration landscapes (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle) and API/middleware patterns relevant to supply chain planning.
▸ Understanding of statistical forecasting methods, machine learning-enhanced demand sensing, and causal modeling.
▸ Familiarity with master data governance frameworks and data quality management in a global ERP/planning context.
▸ Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a planning function — setting vision, building team capability, and driving performance accountability.
▸ Exceptional stakeholder management in matrixed, global organizations; able to influence without authority at all levels.
▸ Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage multi-million-dollar program budgets and frame planning decisions in P&L terms.
▸ Ability to balance global standardization with regional flexibility; experience working across diverse cultural and business contexts.
▸ Excellent executive communication and presentation skills — able to translate complex planning concepts into business narratives.
▸ Comfort with ambiguity, competing priorities, and driving decisions in fast-moving, data-scarce environments.
▸ Certifications: PMP, Agile/SAFe, APICS CPIM/CSCP, or IBF CPF preferred.
