Senior Oracle EBS & Fusion DBA / DBA Lead
Job Description
The Oracle Data Base Administrator will be part of Enterprise Application team responsible for providing support on system monitoring, Patching, Cloning and Performance Tuning of Application and Database stack of Oracle EBS / Fusion Applications to US based customers. This role requires a highly experienced and technically strong DBA with deep expertise in Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion, who can lead offshore DBA and Systems Administration teams when required. The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be capable of driving critical production issues, and provide architectural and performance recommendations aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
· Provide senior-level production support for Oracle EBS, Fusion Applications, and Oracle Databases, including handling critical incidents and change requests.
· Lead system monitoring, patching, cloning, upgrades, and advanced performance tuning across application and database stacks.
· Perform and oversee Quarterly CPU/PSU patching in production and coordinate with stakeholders for validation and downtime planning.
· Monitor Oracle instances, alerts, and system health; drive issues to closure in coordination with technical and functional teams.
· Perform and supervise instance cloning, backup, and recovery (RMAN) activities on a periodic and on-demand basis.
· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for all Critical and Priority 1 incidents and ensure preventive measures are implemented.
· Handle technical code migrations into production environments.
· Liaise directly with Oracle Support for SRs, product bugs, and escalations.
· Analyze security vulnerabilities and ensure remediation across enterprise systems.
· Maintain and govern server documentation, access controls, and credential updates in secure systems.
· Support disk space management, LVM/SAN storage, and respond to monitoring tools such as Nagios.
· Act as a technical lead for Oracle DBA operations and provide mentorship to offshore DBA and System Administration teams.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including application, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.
· Lead conference calls during high-severity outages , ensuring clear communication and effective incident resolution.
· Contribute to designing, reviewing, and improving support, upgrade, and operational processes and tools.
· Stay current with emerging Oracle technologies, cloud trends, and best practices.
Requirements
· 10+ years of strong experience as an Oracle Applications DBA, with deep hands-on expertise.
· Extensive experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Applications / Fusion Middleware / PaaS.
· Experience in 2–3 full-cycle Oracle EBS upgrades (application and technology stack).
· Strong hands-on expertise in:
Oracle RDBMS (including RAC, Data Guard, High Availability, RMAN)
WebLogic Application Server – Installation & Administration
Oracle Fusion Middleware – Installation & Administration
Oracle EBS Application & Technology Stack
· Advanced performance tuning skills, including analysis of ADDM, AWR, ASH reports, SQL, and application code.
· Strong experience in Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.
· Expertise across Oracle technology stack including Database, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic, and JVM.
· Solid understanding of SOA and Web Services configurations and implementations.
· Experience with identity and access management, SAML, OpenID, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
· Ability to support 24x7 environments and handle critical production systems independently.

Education and Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering, Master’s in Computer Applications, or equivalent from a reputed institute.
