Overall Scope of Role

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Deputy CEO to drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and market expansion for our organization. The ideal candidate is a senior automotive industry leader with strong commercial expertise, proven multi-category experience, and the ability to lead large, cross-functional teams toward transformative results.

Functional Responsibilities

• Lead business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and market share strategy.
• Drive sales, marketing, and channel development across 2W, 3W, tractor, and commercial segments.
• Build and enhance distribution networks, including FMCG-style rural/retail channels.
• Manage P&L, pricing, profitability, and financial performance.
• Oversee service, spares, and after-sales operations.
• Provide cross-functional leadership across Marketing, Sales, Service, Finance, HR, and Operations.
• Strengthen dealer relationships, partnerships, and industry engagements.
• Drive organizational growth, capability-building, and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and lead high-performing teams; ensure succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
• Foster a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and operational excellence.

Person Specification

Essential

• Educational Qualifications: MBA from a top-tier institute (IIM/ISB or equivalent).
• Number of Years of Experience:
  • a) 20+ years of experience in the Indian automotive industry.
  • b) Experience with at least three major auto OEMs (Piaggio, Bajaj, Leyland, Tata, TVS, etc.) at GM level or above.
  • c) Engineering graduate from a reputed institute.
  • d) Age: 38–45 years.

Desirable

• Technical Qualifications: Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.

Other Requirements

• Strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, automotive market expertise, channel management, financial leadership, and people management skills.
• Language(s): English (Essential), local language (desirable).
