AIML – Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Plant Head
About AIML:
AIML is a heavy steel fabrication company specializing in bridges, ROBs, truss structures, cable-stayed bridges, bow string bridges, and power plant structures. The company operates on a job-work basis for leading EPC and infrastructure companies.
Role Summary:
The COO / Plant Head will lead end-to-end plant operations, fabrication execution, quality systems, lean manufacturing implementation, and site erection coordination. The role requires a systems-driven leader with strong heavy fabrication experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead plant operations with full accountability for output, productivity, safety, and delivery timelines.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, process optimization).
- Improve productivity (tons per man-hour) and reduce rework and scrap.
- Ensure strict quality compliance – WPS/PQR, NDT, ISO systems, inspection documentation.
- Coordinate fabrication and erection planning to ensure seamless site execution.
- Monitor fabrication cost per ton and improve EBITDA through operational efficiency.
- Build a performance-driven culture with strong second-line leadership.
Candidate Profile:
- 15–25 years experience in heavy steel fabrication / bridge manufacturing.
- Prior experience as Plant Head / Operations Head / COO preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding, structural fabrication, crane planning, and logistics.
- Systems-oriented, data-driven, and quality-focused leader.
- Financially aware with strong cost control and margin improvement mindset.
