1 Introduction
Mobile Internet India Pvt Ltd (MIIPL) is a software company developing systems and software for commercial satellite industry. It is established in 2006, working on Satellite 3G technologies for clients who are major Internet service providers through satellite networks.
MIIPL is specialized in Inmarsat BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network), GX (Global Express), Thuraya M2M and Iridium Satellite network systems.
MIIPL provides critical software like AAA servers, Firewalls, Network Monitoring, testing tools, Traffic reporting and monitoring to the distribution partners and service providers of internet through satellite network.
MIIPL works with its development partners to provide design consultancies, software and hardware solutions and 24x7 support & maintenance for Satellite ISPs .

2 Job Purpose
To design, develop and maintain MIL’s POP infrastructure management systems. Sr DevOps Engineer will be a part of high skilled DevOps team and will be developing, maintaining, and deploying POP and its functionalities across all clients and all sites. The candidate will be working closely with Systems and QA teams and liaising with Clients to deploy features/functionalities.
MIL has developed its own customer Infrastructure Management System called ABDS (Automated Build and Deployment System) having its own DB and User Interface. ABDS is a constantly evolving system, and the Sr DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing it.
MIL has started migrating to cloud-based POP for some of its clients and in future we are planning to push the idea of cloud-based POP to all clients. So, we are looking for candidates with experience in automated deployment, automated audit & verification, and cloud-based systems.
3 Key Responsibilities
· Maintain System, Server, and Software configurations
· Participate in software release and deployment across various clients and their various sites
· Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
· Collaborate with development, QA and Operations team to deploy servers and software
· Automating deployment of Linux applications, system configurations and security settings
· Build reusable code and libraries for future use
· Support of feature upgrades of existing software services
· Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
· Develop abilities in MIL ABDS to automatically deploy systems, software and configuration
· Develop new features and/or changes in existing ABDS functionalities
· Enhance MIL ABDS to support cloud-based POPs

The candidate will be trained in the infrastructural aspects of the systems which the software resides on (as per candidate’s skill set)

4 Required Qualifications & Education
4.1 Skills and Knowledge
· High degree of accuracy and attention to details
· Must be flexible, pragmatic, and able to grasp new requirements, features, technologies quickly.
· Good experience with Ansible, Cobbler and VMWare
· Good experience with Linux (RedHat or CentOS)
· Good experience with DevOps automation
· Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Oracle
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
· Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
· Collaborate with other team members whenever required
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
· Skilled in negotiation and influencing other team members.

· 2+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering department
· Education – B.E. in Computer Science Engineering or MCA
