Vancacy position: Electrical Engineer
Grade: L11
Quantity needed: 1 person
Employment Location: Ogere, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Salary range (80% basic+20% KPI): US$ 1800-2500 Per month
Key Job Description:
A. Processing Plant (Milk & Yoghurt)
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems on pasteurizers, homogenizers,
separators, blending units, incubators, fermentation tanks, cup and pouch filling
machines.
• Install, calibrate, and service PLCs, SCADA, sensors (temperature, pressure, flow,
level), load cells.
• Ensure proper functioning of VFDs, motors, control panels, starters, and HMIs.
• Maintain power distribution systems, switchgear, control wiring, MCCs.
• Support automation upgrades, control logic modifications, and panel improvements.
B. Dairy Farm Operations
• Maintain electrical and electronic systems for milking parlors, vacuum pumps, cooling
compressors, agitators, and milk tank controls.
• Install and service barn ventilation systems, lighting networks, automatic feeders, and
environmental control systems.
• Troubleshoot pump starters, control switches, and protection devices.
C. Arable and Field Equipment
• Support electrical/electronic systems on tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and modern
arable equipment like Drones.
• Maintain GPS-based precision farming tools, sensors, irrigation motor controllers, and
pumps.
• Repair electrical components of farm vehicles and solar-powered systems (if
applicable).
D. Utilities & Plant Services
• Maintain electrical systems for boilers, refrigeration units, air compressors, chillers,
generators, and water treatment plants.
• Monitor energy consumption and propose efficiency improvements.
• Maintain backup power systems, ATS panels, and generators.
E. Projects & Continuous Improvement
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new machines, panels, and
instrumentation.
• Update engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, panel schedules, loop diagrams.
• Drive automation and digitalization projects to improve production efficiency.
• Implement modern monitoring, metering, and data logging systems.
F. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and
regulatory requirements.
• Implement LOTO procedures, arc-flash safety, grounding/earthing checks, and
preventive audits.
• Train operators and technicians on safe equipment operation and electrical safety.
• Conduct root cause analysis for electrical/instrumentation failures.
Requirements:

Work Experience:

• 3-8 years of relevant
experience in dairy
plant/farm, food processing agricultural machinery
maintenance, or vehicles
electronic systems and
maintenance
• Hands-on experience with automation systems (PLCHMI, SCADA).
• Knowledge of linear filler sand pouching machines
yoghurt and milk pouch/cur filling lines is an added
advantage,
• Understanding of ISO
22000, HACCP, GMP preferred
Technical Skill:
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of
electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs,SCADA, sensors,
instrumentation, and
automation
• Experience in food/dairy
manufacturing electrical &
instrumentation systems.
• Ability to read electrical
drawings, loop diagrams,
panel layouts, and P&IDs
• Hands-on experience with industrial motors, MCCs,
control panels, High and low voltage systems, DC current
wiring and circuits
• Knowledge of calibration of sensors and measuring
equipment.
