BOOM WASTE TREATMENT CO. | MSW LANDFILL OPERATIONS JOB DESCRIPTION OPERATION ENGINEER - LANDFILL (LF) Department Operations - MSW Landfill Number of Positions 1 Reports Тo Operation Manager Supervises Landfill Supervisors, Landfill/Area Officers, Waste Inspectors/Officers and Operators, as assigned Work Location MSW Landfill Facility / assigned operational areas Job Purpose Plan, coordinate and technically control daily landfill operations to ensure safe, compliant and efficient receipt, placement, compaction and covering of waste. The role translates operating plans and environmental requirements into shift activities, controls resources and performance, and supports the Operation Manager in maintaining continuous facility readiness. Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan daily landfill operations, including tipping sequence, waste placement, compaction, cover application and resource deployment. Direct supervisors and field teams, allocate manpower and equipment, and monitor completion of shift targets. Ensure waste acceptance, working-face control, airspace utilization and disposal activities comply with approved procedures and permit requirements. Coordinate environmental controls for leachate, stormwater, landfill gas, odor, litter, dust, vectors and fire prevention. Monitor equipment availability, operational performance and incidents; initiate corrective action and coordinate emergency response. • Review operating records and prepare accurate management, client, audit and regulatory reports. Qualification and Experiencе Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including substantial hands-on experience in municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill operations. Preferred Training / Certification: Landfill operations, waste management, HSE, fire response, first aid, environmental awareness, and relevant equipment/traffic safety training.
